Attractive - fully matching albeit somewhat moth-damaged - pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as (dual)piped in the white-coloured branchcolour as was intended for an: 'O.Ltn. der Res. des Infanterie-Regiments 41'

The pair is neatly (dual)piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and has the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlay' and was intended for - and/or with certainty worn by! - an: 'Oberleutnant der Reserve des Infanterie-Regiments 41' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within the 'Infanterie'- ie. infantry-regiment numbered: '41') and comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used-, worn- and/or: carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Infanterie'-shoulderboards and have the silver-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-pattern) 'upperdecks' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and have the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlay' (and were constructed from the typical 'smooth'-type wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern and were clearly used as such and do show some moth-damage on the undersides (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and were most certainly issued- and/or worn as such and do show moderate age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The pair - that was recently found at a German private-household - shows two fully matching sets of (neatly bright-golden-toned, larger-sized, older styled and/or identical) '4'- and/or '1'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') attached and a matching pair of (equally bright-golden-toned and larger-sized) pips, period-attached. All six devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Simply a very attractive set that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant der Reserve des Infanterie-Regiments 41'!
