This is an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (ie. 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended for a: 'Schirrmeister' (or: equipment-administration staff-member ie. NCO) being a neatly hand-embroidered variant that comes mounted onto a darker-green-coloured and typical woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The neat patch is executed on darker-green-coloured wool and shows a detailed (and neatly hand-embroidered!) Gothic-styled 'G'-character. The patch - which is neatly backed with black-coloured linnen-based cloth as more often - denoted that the soldier ie. NCO who wore it (ie. for whom it was intended) had succesfully passed several tests and could therefore be regarded as a: 'Schirrmeister'. The patch - which is neatly maker-marked on its back and that shows the makers'-designation: 'U.U.' or alike (as can be seen on the pictures) shows some minimal staining, simply caused by decades of storage only. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (ie. 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen')!
