Attractive - and moderately used ie. worn! - example of a: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwerter' being a (typical) non-maker-marked (and silvered 'Buntmetall'-based!) specimen that came as recently found

The award is a truly attractive (albeit as more often non-maker-marked, so-called: 'Buntmetall'- ie. 'Tombak'-based specimen that was just moderately used and/or worn: it came issued, moderately used and/or stored for decades. The attractive - and I deem typical early-war-period - specimen is executed in bright-silver-coloured- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based metal and comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately worn- and used-), condition. The naturally non-magnetic- and/or non-vaulted cross shows a somewhat tarnished age-patina but has not recently been cleaned or polished: it still retains most of its 'frosted' silverish-coloured finish and retains a fair bit of its high-polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten') as can be seen on the pictures. The cross comes naturally mounted onto its functional (straight-shaped- ie. flattened pin- and/or: period catch (ie. catch-set-up) which are both present and unaltered (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which is void of a makers'-designation (as more often encountered) - comes as found and/or stored for decades. Simply a nice occasion to acquire an attractive and moderately used: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwerter' for a justified price!
