Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of Waffen-SS, 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for usage by an: 'Obersturmführer' (ie. lieutnant first-class) who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Sanitäts-Truppen'

This is an attractive - and fully matching and actually scarcely encountered! - typical Waffen-SS, 'cyphered' officers'-pattern shoulderboards as piped in the neat darker-blue (ie. 'blauer') coloured branchcolour and having black-coloured 'underlays', as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Obersturmführer' (ie. lieutnant first-class) and presumably a medical doctor (ie. 'Arzt') who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Sanitäts-Truppen' (or: medical-troops) and that comes in an overall very nice (I deem just minimally used- and/or worn- ie. tunic-removed-), condition. The boards - which never had any tongues and that were worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type as more often encountered - have the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured and/or: 'silk-like'-type piping attached and measure 10,5 cms. in length as more often encountered. The pieces show some moderate age, wear and/or staining and show a matching (and golden-toned- albeit minimally tarnished) pair of so-called: 'Aesculapus'-cyphers and two pips attached denoting the officers-rank of: 'Obersturmführer' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and fully 'text-book'! - Waffen-SS shoulderboard-pair that comes in not the easiest encountered branchcolour!
