This is an attractive - and actually very scarcely encountered! - example of a 'standard-pattern', 'tropical-issued' WH (Kriegsmarine) 'Obermatrose' (or: 'Obergefreiter') rank-chevron (ie: 'Armwinkel') as was intended for usage on the various beige-tan-coloured, tropical navy-tunics and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit I deem minimally used- ie. presumably once tunic-attached-), condition. The example on offer here is executed on typical beige-tan-coloured and/or 'smooth'-type linnen and shows a double stripe of the 'standard-type', darker-blue-coloured and also linnen-based naval-NCO-braid, attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece does show some minimal age and/or staining and was clearly once tunic-attached and carefully removed (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these neat tropical-issued-, naval rank-insignia are truly very hard to encounter and can easily be graded 'very scarce'!
