Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres), early-war-period- (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern) typical tailor-made and 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for - and worn by! - an: 'Uffz. einer (Nebel)Werfer-Aufklärungs-Abts.' This is a very attractive - fully matching and with certainty scarcely encountered! - pair of typical tailor-made ie. 'privately-purchased', WH (Heeres), early-war-period- (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern) NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as piped in the neat darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier einer (Nebel)Werfer-Aufklärungs-Abts.' (or: junior-sergeant who served within an army reconnaisance smoke-troops unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks' are 'textbook' in all facets. They show the neat darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured (and/or: typical rayon-type) piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps which measure approximately 10,6 cms. in length each come naturally mounted onto their functional (and typical thin-shaped) tongues as more often seen. The shoulderstraps show the 'standard'-type, tarnished silverish-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued' and early- ie. 'dotted'-pattern) NCO-braid attached denoting the NCOs-rank of: 'Unteroffizier' (ie. junior-sergeant). Both straps show the neat (Gothic-styled and machine-embroidered) so-called: 'A'-cyphers ie. 'Ziffern' (as executed in equally darker-purple-red- ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-coloured linnen) as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show - as stated above - only moderate usage ie. wear (some age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present as can be seen on the pictures). The straps are constructed from so-called: 'boiled-wool' and are (I deem) a typical pair that originates from a private-source ie. tailor-shop. I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a very attractive - and most certainly desirable! - NCO-type 'Nebelwerfer- o. Aufklärungs'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair for a justified price!
