This is a truly attractive - and fully matching! - later-war-period, so-called: 'M44'-pattern- and typical simplified WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Uneroffizier der Pionier-Truppen' (or: NCO ie. junior-sergeant who served within the army engineer-troops) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 11,9 cms. in length each as more often seen - have the neat 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as is more encountered with these later-war-period shoulderstraps). The shoulderstraps - which originate from my own private shoulderstrap-collection - are constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner', using different shades of (Italian-style) wool and/or material (as can be seen in the pictures). The straps show the (typical) bluish-grey-coloured (ie. sub-dued) NCO-braid attached and comes mounted onto its functional tongue. It should be noted that all 'M44'-pattern, NCO-type straps are actually quite hard to find and can easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are piped in the desirable, black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour. Simply an attractive - and/or fully 'text-book'!, M44-pattern NCO-type 'Pioniere'-shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier der Pionier-Truppen'!
