This is a truly attractive - and actually very scarcely encountered! - example of a neatly 'BeVo'-woven, so-called: 'Sicherheits- u. Hilfsdienst' (ie. 'SHD'-) armbadge (ie. 'Ärmelabzeichen') being a bluish- (ie. white/green-) coloured example depicting an: 'anchor'-symbol as was intended for a member serving as a: 'Havariedienst o. Bergekräfte Mitglied' (ie. SHD-harbour-salvage staff-member) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The badge - which depicts a white-coloured, 'anchor'-symbol onto a blue- (and green-rimmed) coloured background - was introduced in late 1941 and was one of a series of - at least - six different such SHD speciality- ie. trade-badges. These 'specialist' badges were worn on the left upper-arm. The piece on offer here comes in a truly 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- (and of course fully unconfectioned-), condition. Simply an attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - 'SHD'-arm-patch as was used by one of the lesser known TR-organisations!
