This is an attractive - 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' and actually scarcely found! - example of a WH (Kriegsmarine) neatly hand-embroidered, trade- ie. special-career-patch (ie. 'Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended for usage onto the various blue-coloured attire as was intended for an: 'Ingenieur-Offizier der Korvetten' (ie. naval-engineer) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and as stated above simply never used- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- and or/never tunic-attached-), condition. The oval-shaped patch - which has an additional paper-based- and darker-blue-toned backing attached - signified that the bearer was a member ie. officer serving within the naval engineer-staff. The piece is very nicely hand-embroidered (with golden-toned braid!) onto a darker-blue-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and simply shows no age nor wear (just some minimal storage-age ie. staining is present and visible). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example came with a period-attached (carton-based) label and also shows a smaller-sized makers'-designation-label (that reads: 'Echt Gold m.St.') as can be noticed on the pictures. Simply a very attractive - and unusually found! - Kriegsmarine-'Tätigkeits-Abzeichen' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
