Superb, 3-pieced WII-period medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') showing respectively an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Kl.', a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) and a: 'RAD-DA 4. St. für Männer'
This is a truly very attractive - and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn example - of a three-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') showing respectively an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse', a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) and a: 'RAD-Dienstauszeichnung 4. Stufe für Männer' (as was intended for 4 years loyal-service) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit issued- and I deem moderately worn-), condition. The iron cross - which example is nicely maker-marked in its ring with the makers-designation '76' and that is as such a piece that what procuced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Ernst L. Müller' as based in the town of Pforzheim - was with certainty never cleaned and has a very nice and/or attractive age-patina: it has lost its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally tarnished ie. stained appearance (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has very nice and/or pronounced detail and has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'shiny- ie. satin-like) core: it is totally void of any paint-damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Westwall'-medal - which is a neat 'Buntmetall'-based specimen - has an attractive golden-bronze-coloured age-patina (simply caused by decades of storage) and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The RAD-loyal-service-award (ie. 'Dienstauszeichnung für Männer der 4. Stufe in Bronze') is of the 'light-weight'- (ie. darker-bronze-toned- ie. aluminium- ie. 'Cupal'-based) version - truly retains gorgeous details and has a great ie. only minimally darkened- (ie. somewhat tarnished) age-patina: it retains all of its fairly 'glossy'- and/or: darker-bronze-toned finish and has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished. Most (ie. all!) of its ('off-factory') polished sides ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten' are nicely preserved and visible (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Spange' - which is of the desirable 'detachable'-pattern - just shows some minimal dirt and/or dust acquired over the years: the ribbons shows some equal minor usage and/or staining. The 'Spange' has truly very nice detail and is 'backed' with a piece of ribbon and still retains its (still fully functional) pin-ie. catch set-up. Simply a very attractive, WWII-period 'Ordenspange' having a not that often seen set-up: great to decorate almost any tunic!
