This is a very attractive - clearly worn and/or carefully tunic-removed albeit regrettably single - example of an officers'-pattern, WH (Heeres o. Waffen-SS) rank-insignia-bar (ie. 'Rangabzeichen für die Tarnuniform') as was intended for usage on the various camouflaged-uniforms by an officer holding the rank of: 'Hauptmann' ie.: 'Waffen-SS Hauptsturmführer' (ie. captain) being a printed example as executed in typical silk-like material (ie. 'Kunstseide') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. presumably issued- albeit never confectioned- not worn-), condition. This piece - which is of the 'printed pattern' as executed in black on a bright-green-coloured and/or 'silk-like'-type, linnen-based background - shows shows a single oakleaf-bar and three square-sized bars signifying that this patch was intended for usage by an officer with the rank of: 'Hauptmann' ie.: 'Waffen-SS Hauptsturmführer'. The piece is just a tiny bit stained caused by decades of storage but is simply nicely preserved: it still shows the stitching-remains of having once been tunic-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and actually in a used- and/or worn condition not that often encountered! - WH (Heeres o. Waffen-SS) rank-insignia-bar!
