Superb - and very rarely encountered! - Waffen-SS, Belgian 'volunteer' arm-shield as was specifically intended for usage by soldiers (ie. NCOs) serving within the: '27. SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division' ('Langemarck')
This is a truly very attractive - very desirable and most certainly very rarely encountered! - example of a Belgian-related, Waffen-SS 'volunteer' arm-shield (ie. 'Ärmelschild') depicting the Belgian lion on a typical bright-yellow-toned background as was specifically intended for usage by soldiers (ie. NCOs) serving within the: '27. SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division' ('Langemarck') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The shield is depicting the black-coloured lion ie. Flemish national symbol and comes in an absolute stonemint- (ie. unissued and never tunic-attached-), condition. The shield is of the later (1943/1944-period-) type and most certainly originates from the famous 'Dachau'-clothing depots. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a 100% guaranteed original Belgien-related armshield that is impossible to be upgraded: just the first such example I ever had on offer!
