This is a truly very attractive example of a WH (Heeres) field-grey-coloured- and/or steel-based belt-buckle being a neatly maker- (ie. 'C.W. Motz'-) marked- and: '1941'-dated example that comes mounted on its natural-coloured (and smooth- ie. fine-grain leather-based) tab and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem truly never used- ie. 'virtually ie. mint ie. unissued'-), condition. The buckle truly retains all of its fairly 'matted'-styled, field-grey-coloured finish without showing any defaults whatsoever: it was simply never cleaned nor polished and does just show some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle shows some obvious dust caused by over more than 70 years of storage. The leather-based tab is naturally also still fully functional and souple: it shows a clearly present, oval-shaped: 'C.W. Motz - Brandenburg a. N.- 1941'-stamp (as can be clearly seen in the pictures) and remains in an equally nicely preserved condition overall (it was with certainty never greased nor oiled). The buckle itself is not maker-marked (something that is more often observed). The piece was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a superb, 'C.W. Motz'-marked 'Heeres'-example that is priced according to its overall very nicely preserved- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition: maybe the best such example I ever had on offer!
