Attractive - albeit regrettably single! - DR (Deutsche Reichsbahn o. Bahnschutzpolizei) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was intended for usage by a: 'Bezirksführer der Bahnschutzpolizei'

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - DR (Deutsche Reichsbahn o. Bahnschutzpolizei) neatly 'cyphered', and fairly high-ranked officers'-type shoulderboard as was intended for usage by a: 'Bezirksführer der Bahnschutzpolizei' (being I deem a rank comparable with an: 'Oberstleutnant' ie. lieutnant-colonel) and that comes in overall nice- (albeit issued ie. moderately worn- and/or tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboard which is approximately 11 cms. sized in length shows the (typical) silverish-toned 'upperdeck' (having the black-toned and v-shaped inner-braid and black-coloured, velvet-based 'underlay') and shows a neat (bright golden-coloured, 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'winged-wheel'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer'), equally-styled '8'-numeral (ie. 'Ziffer') and smaller-sized pip period-attached denoting that the strap was intended for a fairly high-ranked officer who held the rank of: 'Bezirksführer' who served within the 8th district (being I deem a rank comparable with an: 'Oberstleutnant' ie. lieutnant-colonel). All three devices shows some regular age and/or minimal tarnish. The board - that shows some minimal age, wear and/or staining - comes mounted onto its functional tongue (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never before in collectors'-hands and was recently found as such. Simply an attractive DR- (ie. Deutsche Reichsbahn o. Bahnschutzpolizei) related officer-type shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Bezirksführer der Bahnschutzpolizei': too bad that it is only a single example!
