Attractive - albeit single and minimally used - WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern (and neatly 'cyphered'!) shoulderboard (ie. 'Schulterstück') as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Machinengewehr-Abts. 4'

This an attractive - regrettably single and clearly used- and/or tunic-removed! - WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern (and neatly 'cyphered'!) shoulderboard (ie. 'Schulterstück') having the typical white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and silverish-grey-coloured 'upperdeck' as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Machinengewehr-Abteilungs 4' (or: lieutnant first class who served within the infantry-related, machine-gunners unit, numbered: '4') and that comes in overall nice- (and most certainly used- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat board measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length and came mounted onto its (smaller-sized) tongue (as can be seen on the pictures). The board show a (neatly golden-toned, smaller-sized- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based) 'M'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer'), '4'-numeral and an (equally-styled) pip period-attached, denoting that the officer was an: 'Oberleutnant' or: lieutnant first-class. All three devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny) age-patina. The board shows some minimal age- ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat Heeres-type officers' shoulderboard that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant des Machinengewehr-Abteilungs 4'!
