Single - and actually scarcely seen! - WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M36-/M40'-pattern- and/or 'rounded-styled-') shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments'
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless quite scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - 'Feldwebel eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments' (or: sergeant who served within the army mountain-troops) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11 cms. sized in length and that does show the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured and woolen-based piping and 'standard'-pattern, silver-toned NCO-braid - has the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdeck' and shows a (larger-sized and/or: aluminium-based) pip period-attached denoting the rank of: 'Feldwebel'. The pip is nicely preserved but does show some obvious age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional but possibly later added tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all NCO-pattern, WH (Heeres) 'Gebirgjäger'-shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments'!
