Stunning, pre-war-period WH (LW) silver-coloured, aluminium-based belt-buckle being a maker- (ie. 'Louis Keller'-) marked and/or '1938'-dated example that comes mounted onto its tab and that comes in a 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-, condition
This is a truly very attractive example of a - most certainly rarely found, early- (ie. pre-) war-period- and/or typical 'down-tailed'-pattern! - WH (Luftwaffe) silver-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based belt-buckle being a neatly maker- (ie. 'Louis Keller - Oberstein'-marked- and/or '1938'-dated example that comes mounted onto its natural-coloured- and leather-based tab and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem issued but still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The buckle - which is of a 'single-pieced'- ie. 'molded'-construction - truly retains all of its somewhat 'shiny', silverish-grey-coloured finish without showing any defaults whatsoever: it was simply never cleaned nor polished and does show some minimal storage-staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle shows some obvious dust caused by over more than 80 years of storage. The leather-based tab is naturally also still fully functional and souple: it shows a typical oval-shaped makers'-designition-stamp that reads: 'Louis Keller - Oberstein- 1938' (as can be clearly seen in the pictures) and remains in an equally nicely preserved condition overall (it was I deem never greased nor oiled but does show some minimal age ie. staining). The buckle itself is non-maker-marked as is more often observed (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these truly minty (and neatly down-tailed!) examples are nowadays quite difficult to encounter someting that I deem merits my (high) asking-price. The piece originates from an extensive belt-buckle-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive, early- (ie. pre-) war period- and/or: 'down-tailed'-pattern, 'Luftwaffe'-example that is priced according to its overall very nice ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' condition: with certainty the best such example I ever had on offer!
