This is an attractive - and actually truly rarely found! - example of an: OT- (ie. 'Organisation Todt'-) so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (ie.: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was executed in the (typical and nicely executed!) 'BeVo'-weave-pattern as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Maurer' (ie. bricklayer-mason) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem never used- nor even tunic-attached-), condition. The neat patch is (as always) executed on a black-coloured- and/or linnen-based background and shows a silver-toned illustration of a bricklayer-tool. The patch - that came 'off-factory' fortified by means of a piece of green-toned carton as more often encountered - shows some minimal staining simply caused by decades of storage only. These rare patches were introduced in 1942 and served to recognize the various skills and qualifications of the OT-workers and staff. This particular example originated from a larger-sized- cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired. Simply a very attractive OT- (ie. 'Organisation Todt'-) related trade-/specialist badge that is with certainty not that often offered for sale!
