Neat - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for - and clearly used by! - a: 'Leutnant des Kavallerie o. Reiter-Regiments 4'

The attractive WH (Heeres) - and neatly 'cyphered'! - shoulderboard-pair on offer here is piped in the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour and was as such intended for usage (and clearly used by!) a: 'Leutnant des Kavallerie o. Reiter-Regiments 4' (or: junior-officer- ie. lieutnant who served within the army, cavalry-related unit ie. regiment, numbered: '4') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. most certainly issued and/or moderately used- ie. worn- and carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The truly attractive shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-related officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the greysish-silver-coloured (ie. somewhat-sub-dued-) 'upperdecks' (making this a pair that was - I deem - intended for usage on a typical 'front-used'-tunic). The boards show the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) branchcolour (and were constructed from the typical smooth-type wool as more often seen). The boards never has any tongues attached and were clearly intended for usage as a pair of 'sew-in'-pattern: they still show the stitching-holes with which they were once tunic-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11,7 cms. in length each and show a (matching, smaller-sized, golden-toned- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) pair of '4'-numerals ie. cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached denoting the junior-officers'-rank of: 'Leutnant' (ie. lieutnant). The pair was, however, clearly used as such and does show some age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair pair that belonged to a: 'Leutnant des Kavallerie o. Reiter-Regiments 4'!
