This is an attractive - and actually truly scarcely encountered! - example of a greyish-coloured- and (I deem) typical later-war-period and/or zinc-based so-called: 'Waffen-SS'- (ie. 'SS-Pioniere'- or engineers-) related ID-disc (ie.: 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly-stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'SS-Pi.Ausb.Btl. 3' (and as such being - I deem - a disc that was intended for a soldier ie. NCO who served within the: 'SS-Pioniere-Ausbildungs-Bataillon 3' or: SS-engineers, training-battalion, numbered: '3') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in overall very nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows some (minimally) torn-out holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is void of a stamped soldiers'-bloodgroup-type (as more often). The disc was never cleaned nor polished (and it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). Simply an attractive and honest 'Waffen-SS'- (ie. 'SS-Pioniere'-) related ID-disc that is with certainty accordingly priced!
