This is a neat - and actually not that easily encountered! - example of a typically machine-embroidered, Waffen-SS rank-badge as executed on black-coloured wool as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'SS-Oberschütze' (or: private first-class) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- and most certainly never tunic-attached-), condition. The badge is a 'standard-pattern', machine-woven example as executed in silverish-grey-coloured linnen onto a black-coloured and/or woolen-based background that almost certainly originated from the Dachau clothing-depots. It sounds maybe strange, but these simple Waffen-SS rank-badges are actually very hard to find. Simply a nice and 100% original piece of SS rank-insignia!
