Superb - and scarcely found! - typical aluminium-based, WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Gebirgsjäger'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the stamped unit-designation: '6./G.J.Ers.Rgt.137' and that comes stored in its period pouch as issued

This is an attractive - and actually truly scarcely found! - example of a silverish-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-trooper-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: '6./G.J.Ers.Rgt.137' (and as such being a disc that was intended for a soldier or NCO who - I deem - served within the sixth company of the: 'Gebirgsjäger-Ergänzungs-Regiment', numbered: '137' and that comes stored in its period (leather-based) pouch as issued and worn and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in overall nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat torn-out holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is totally void of the bearers'-blood-group-type something that is more often observed. The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty) and comes as issued and worn. The disc originates from a larger ID-disc collection that was compiled over many years. Simply an attractive - and truly scarcely found! - WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Gebirgsjäger'-related ID-disc that is with certainty accordingly priced!
