The truly very attractive - and typical 'molded-style' ie. aluminium-based - Polizei- (ie. police-) type buckle on offer here was clearly never used nor worn: it still retains very pronounced detail and simply cannot be upgraded (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle - that shows the makers'-designation 'R.S.&S.') as more often - shows some dust and/or staining simply caused by more than 80 years of storage. The (typically shaped!) and black-coloured tab - which shows a clearly impressed oval-shaped stamp (that reads: 'R. Sieper & Söhne - Lüdenscheid - 1939') is naturally fully functional and souple and comes in an equally very nicely preserved condition (it was with certainty never greased nor oiled). It should be noted that a 'standard-issue-pattern', aluminium 'Polizei'-buckle in this overall very nice and untouched condition can nowadays easily be graded: 'very scarce'. This buckle orginates from an older belt-buckle-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply imossible to upgrade this very nicely preserved and fully untouched- ie. 'virtually mint' Polizei-example!
