This is an attractive - fully matching and (I deem) quite early-war- ie. evt. pre-war-period! - pair of presumably 'privately-purchased'- (ie. tailor-made-) pattern, WH (Heeres) early- ie. pre-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled), neatly 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as was piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Kavallerie- o. Reiter-Regiments 3' (or: sergeant first-class who served within the 3rd cavalry regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 11 cms. in length each - show the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or (typical) woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). They come naturally mounted onto their period-attached- (regular-shaped) tongues attached and come both in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition overall (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show a (matching, early-pattern- and aluminium-based) pair of '3'-cyphers (ie. numerals or: 'Ziffern') and four (fully matching and zinc-based) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair is entirely based of so-called: 'boiled wool' and is in my opinion thus a typical 'tailor-made'- (ie. privately-purchased) pair. These type of shoulderstraps are of the fairly early-war-period pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1939/1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). The pair only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a neat NCO-type, 'Kavallerie'-related Heeres-shoulderstrap-pair for a justified price!
