Super, mid- (ie. later-war-) period, albeit regrettably single, WH (Heeres) black-coloured- and/or woolen-based- and/or bright-yellow-piped so-called: 'Panzer-Aufklärung'-collar-tab, having an aluminium-based 'Totenkopf' period-attached

The neat and desirable piece - which was used on amongst others on the black-coloured 'wrap-around' Panzer-tunics - has a typical, 'standard-pattern', brownish-coloured- (and/or: 'Buckram'-based) backing as is more often encountered and does show some regular age, wear and/or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which has the neat 'silke'-like-type- and/or: bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured piping attached - is (I deem) of a mid- (ie. later-) war-period pattern that has clearly been used and/or tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The aluminium-based (and somewhat stained) skull (ie. 'Totenkopf') is of the 'regular'-pattern having a 'double-prong'-set-up: the piece retains however, only one of its prongs still in place but is still firmly period-attached to the tab (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular example originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. These genuine 'Panzer-Aufklärung'- (ie. reconnaisance-) type collar-insignia can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'!
