Neat, silver-toned- (and I deem typical zinc-based) WH (Heeres) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') as was issued to commemorate a meeting named: '125 Jahre Inf.Reg. 116 - Giessen - 18.-20. Juni 1938' Neat, silver-toned- (and I deem typical zinc-based) WH (Heeres) related day-badge (ie. This is a truly attractive - and with certainty not that easily encountered! - silverish-toned- (and/or I deem typical zinc-based), commemorative WH (Heeres) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') that depicts a detailed eagle-device, two ('cyphered') shoulderstraps and text that simply reads: '125 Jahre Inf.Reg. 116 - Giessen - 18.-20. Juni 1938' and that was as such intended for gathering ie. rally that was issued to commemorate the 125-years existance of the: '116. Infanterie Regiment'. The neat and pronounced (shield-shaped) badge - which has an approximate height of 4,7 cms. - is void of a makers'-designation and comes in an overall very nice (albeit issued and/or minimally worn-), condition: it shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished (some minimal staining is, however, present and visible as can be seen on the pictures). It comes naturally mounted on its (functional) pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. Simply an attractive - and most certainly not that often encountered - locally-issued! - WH (Heeres) related 'tinnie' that is accordingly priced!
