Neat - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was specifically intended for a: 'Major eines Kavallerie-Schützenregiments'

This is a neat - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was executed in the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Major eines Kavallerie-Schützenregiments' (or: major who served within a cavalry-related, gunners'-regiment ie. unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit I deem just moderately used ie. tunic-removed-), condition. The board - which is executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or golden-yellow-coloured wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) - measures approximately 11,3 cms. in length and has a somewhat 'shiny'- ie. silver-greyish-coloured 'upperdeck'. The board comes mounted onto its (smaller-sized) tongue and was clearly used as such (as can be seen on the pictures). The board shows a (larger-sized, neatly golden-toned- and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based-): 'S'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') attached which is just minmally tarnished and/or stained but that is still very nice and/or pronounced (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular example originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the webs-te. Simply an attractive, officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard that belonged to a: 'Major eines Kavallerie-Schützenregiments': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
