This is a truly very attractive - fully matching and actually rarely found! - medal-set: 'Winterschlacht im Osten 1941-42' (or: Eastern Front medal) comprising of a neatly maker- (ie. '11'-) marked specimen that comes packed in its original (larger-sized!) pouch of issue as was produced by the Austrian maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Grossmann & Co.' as based in the town of Wien (ie. Vienna) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem issued- but simply never worn- nor even mounted-), condition. The medal came together with its original, non-confectioned-, pre-folded (and approx. 19 cms. long-sized-) ribbon and came packed in its neat ('Zellstoff'-based-) and/or: beige-brown-coloured, carton-based pouch (that is fully complete as can be seen on the pictures). The medal - which is a truly very nicely preserved zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen - was I deem issued but simply never used nor worn (it came still 'wrapped' in its piece of thin-shaped 'wrapping-paper' as issued). The medal has a quite 'shiny' (ie. greyish-blue-) coloured age-patina and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The larger-sized pouch comes as stated above in an equally nicely preserved condition and shows the printed makers'-designation of the: 'Grossmann & Co.'-company as based in the town of Wien XV (as is printed on its back as stated above). Simply one of the nicest - and fully matching! - 'Ost'-medal-sets by this particular maker I had on offer for quite some time!
