Attractive - albeit non-maker-marked - example of a black-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') being of the: 'Übergrosse Wiedmann'-variant that comes in an overall nice- (ie. The attractive - non-maker-marked- and magnetic - black-class wound-badge (ie. 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') is an example of the so-called: 'Übergrosse Wiedmann'-variant (which is easily recognisable due to its slightly larger format and/or typical catch- ie. pin-set-up) comes in an overall nice- (ie. I deem just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. Truly most of its original, black-coloured- (and/or: somewhat 'satin'-styled) finish has been nicely preserved and it is just a tiny bit 'dusty' and/or minimally stained (as can be seen of the pictures). The badge is as stated a non-maker-marked- (and I deem somewhat later- ie. mid-war-period-) example that was produced by the: 'E.Ferdinand Wiedmann'-company as was based in the town of Frankfurt a.M. (ie. 'Hersteller 16'). Of course, are the (regular- ie. thin-shaped- and also magnetic) pin and/or catch (-set-up) fully functional and of course present. This piece has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal dust and/or staining as to be expected. Simply a neat example of a fully untouched, 'variant'-pattern 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz' that is most certainly accordingly priced!
