Lapel-pin (ie. 'brooch' or: 'Brosche') as was intended for a female member serving within the: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend' (or RADwJ) being a so-called: 'Brosche für Kriegshilfsdienst'

This is a neat - and actually fairly scarcely encountered! - example of a nicely executed 'membership-brooch' (ie. 'Brosche') as was intended for usage by a female member who served within the: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend' (or RADwJ), being a so-called: 'Brosche für Kriegshilfsdienst' (or voluntary war-service) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit minimally used ie. worn-), condition. The badge - which has an approximate width of 4 cms. and that is totally void of a makers'-designation as more often - shows a swastika-sign with below that two corn-leaves showing a banner with the text: 'RADwJ'. The piece - which is executed in typical zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') - is a tiny bit dirty but was most certainly never cleaned ie. polished: it is still a bit dirty ie. dusty. The lapel-pin shows some regular wear and age but has no damage whatsoever. The pin - which has a functional pin-/catch set-up - is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken lapel-pin catalogue, where it is given a unique number (3802R) and given an estimated value of 65 Eu. The example on offer here might have a period-replaced pin and originates from a German flea-market. Simply a nice and decorative, mid-war-period female-related TR-lapel-pin that is accordingly priced!
