This is an attractive - and actually scarcely seen! - typical zinc-based and nicely multi-coloured, EM/NCO-pattern 'Ostvölker'-related cap-cocarde (ie. 'Mützenkokarde für Ostvölker') as was (I deem) specifically intended for the Russian volunteers serving within the 'Terek Cossacks' (ie. 'Terek Kosakken') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. virtually mint-/unissued and/or never cap-attached-), condition. The oval-shaped piece shows a darker-blue-coloured 'center' and has a black-coloured 'outer-rim' (making it a piece that was merely intended for usage by the Russian volunteers serving within the 'Terek Cossacks'. The piece shows four pre-drilled holes with which it can easily be cap-attached. These - original - 'official'- and I deem German-produced cap-cocardes can be easily considered 'very scarce' and come not that often for sale. I deem that I have priced this (truly 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-) example accordingly. Simply a neat example of a Cossack-related cap-device: one of the more harder to encounter specimen of the extensive colourful series!
