This is a very attractive, WH (Heeres) 'standard-issue-pattern', officers'-dress-model and aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss der Paradefeldbinde für Offiziere') being a (typical) non-maker-marked example that comes as issued and (I deem) just minimally worn. The - truly detailed! - buckle is totally void of a makers'-designation on its back as is more often encountered with these dres- (or: 'Ausgeh'-) pieces. The buckle is very detailed and retains truly extraordinary detail: it is just a bit dusty and dirty caused by decades of storage and/or wear but truly shows no damage whatsoever). I deem that this is an early- (ie. mid-war-) period example: something that can be deducted from the 'regular'-modelled eagle-device (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive buckle that was never before in a collection: it was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. In any case a great item to complete any 'Heeres'-officer in 'dress-/going-out' attire ie. belt-buckle-collection!
