This is a very attractive, WH (Luftwaffe) 'standard-issue-pattern', officers'-dress-model and/or typical 'Buntmetall'-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss der Paradefeldbinde für Offiziere der Luftwaffe') being a neat- (albeit as more often) non-maker marked example that comes as issued and/or minimally worn. The - truly detailed! - buckle shows a (detailed and somewhat tarnished, golden-toned) so-called: 'down-tailed' eagle-device attached (which is mounted onto the piece with a single rivet as is more often encountered with these LW-dress- (or: 'Ausgeh'-) pieces. The buckle - which regrettavtably misses its closure-clip (ie. 'Gegenhaken') is very detailed and retains truly extraordinary detail: it is just a bit dusty and dirty caused by decades of storage and/or wear but truly shows no damage whatsoever). I deem that this is an early- (ie. possibly pre-war-) period example: something that can be deducted from the 'down-tailed'-modelled eagle-device (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive LW-buckle that was never before in a collection: it was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. In any case a great item to complete any 'Luftwaffe'-officers 'dress-/going-out' attire ie. belt-buckle-collection!
