Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern, 'tailor-made'- and/or rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Pionier-Abts. o. Rgts.'

This is an attractive - and fully matching! - pair of (I deem) 'tailor-made'- (ie. 'privately-purchased'!) pattern, WH (Heeres) early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as was piped in the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Pionier-Abteilungs o. Regiments' (or: sergeant first-class who served within an army-enigineers' unit or regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or typical 'smooth woolen'- (ie. 'boiled wool') based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 10 cms. in length each - show the neat black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Both straps show a pair of (regular-sized- and/or aluminium-based) pips period-attached denoting the NCOs-rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel'. The straps - that furthermore show the typical (bluish) silverish-toned NCO-braid attached - come naturally mounted onto their period-attached- (regular-shaped- and also 'boiled-woolen'-based) tongues attached and come both in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition overall (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, that the end of the tongues shows a fortification constructed of black-coloured wool (something that is truly unusual!). The neat pair only shows moderate wear and/or age but is, nevertheless, still nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a neat NCO-type, 'Pioniere'-related shoulderstrap-pair for a justified price!
