This is a truly very attractive - and I deem hardly used- nor worn! - example of a (bright!) silver- ie. golden-toned WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) so-called: 'Doppelspange' or: two-pieced medal-bar (being of the desirable detachable-pattern!) showing respectively a detailed: 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung 2. Stufe' (as was intended for 18 years of loyal-service) and a: 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung 3. Stufe' (as was intended for 12 years of loyal-service) and that have both a neat and pronounced (regular-sized) WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine), silver- ie. golden-toned eagle-device period-attached and that comes mounted onto its confectioned, darker-blue- (ie. cornflower-blue-) coloured ribbon (ie. chromed-plate) as issued. The detail on this example is simply extraordinary: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has a very attractive and non-tarnished) age-patina. The medal is 'mounted' onto a clasp (with functional pin/catch-set-up) as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. This example truly retains gorgeous details and has a great age-patina: it retains all of its somewhat 'frosted'- and/or: silver-toned finish without showing any defaults. It is not 'backed' and comes mounted onto a chromed, steel-based 'backing-plate' as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). The darker-blue-coloured ribbon shows only minimal usage and/or staining. Simply a very attractive WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) example of a WH-'Doppelspange' (of the desirable detachable pattern!) that shows a truly unusually seen combinaton!
