This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless still scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early- (ie. mid-) war-period, so-called: 'M43'-pattern, 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap having the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour and showing a firmly attached slip-on (ie. 'Übershube') attached as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 220' (or: simple soldier who served within the army-engineers battalion, numbered: '220') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- ie. clearly tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,2 cms. sized in length and that shows the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and rayon-type piping - has the 'standard-type'- and/or and/or field-grey-coloured, woolen-based 'upperdeck' and shows a (loosely) attached slip-on (ie. 'Übershube') attached that shows the so-called: double '2'- and/or '0'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') which are machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'). These 'cyphers' are executed in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured wool ie. linnen (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: mid-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 220'!
