This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely seen! - WH (Heeres), I deem early-war-period- (ie. 'M36'- ie.: 'M40'-model- ie. rounded-style-) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Soldat eines Infanterie-Regiments der Grossdeutschland-Division' (or: simple soldier who served within an infantry-related unit within the famous 'Grossdeutschland'-Division) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which has the 'standard'-pattern- and/or darker-green-coloured- and/or smooth-woolen-based 'upperdeck' - has the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length - comes mounted onto its original tongue as to be expected. The strap shows a nicely machine-embroidered: 'GD'-cypher (naturally also executed in white-coloured linnen ie. wool as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows - as stated above - only moderate usage ie. wear (just some moderate age, dust and/or staining is visible (as can be seen on the pictures). Taking into account the fact that this piece is constructed from the so-called: 'boiled-wool' I deem that it is a typical strap that originated from a private-production: it deals with a typical example of a neat tailor-made strap that was without doubt privately-purchased. In any case is this a nice occasion to acquire an attractive - and desirable! - EM-type, 'Infanterie'-related GD-shoulderstrap: I deem that this attractive strap is accordingly priced!
