Neat - albeit regrettably single - WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as piped in darker-blue-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Arzt' who served within the: 'Sanitäts-Truppen'

The neat - and truly worn- and used - WH (Heeres) board is piped in the typical darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, it was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Arzt' (ie. captain and medical-doctor) who served within the: 'Heeres-Sanitäts-Truppen' (or: army-related, medical-troops). The board was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboard - which is constructed from the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - comes in a truly worn condition (as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdeck' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard). The board is just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades (as can be seen on the pictures). The board - which measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length - shows a (silverish-grey-toned, I deem zinc-based- and/or regular-sized) so-called: 'Aesculapus'-cypher and two (identical and bright- golden-toned) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Hauptmann u. Arzt der Sanitäts-Truppen'. The strap never had a tongues attached and was clearly intended for (and used as!) a board of the 'sew-in'-pattern: it still shows some thread- ie. stitching-remains (as can be seen on the pictures). This board originated from a small lot of 'cyphered' shoulderstraps and boards that I recently acquired for the web-site: it should, moreover, be noted that all 'cyphered' boards are quite hard to find. Simply a great occasion to acquire an attractive, officers'-type, Heeres shoulderboard that was intended for a: 'Hauptmann u. Arzt' who served within the: 'Sanitäts-Truppen'!
