Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in black-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Major des Pionier Batallions 15'

The attractive WH (Heeres) pair is piped in the typical black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by by a: 'Major des Pionier Batallions 15' (ie. major) who served within the: 'Pionier Batallion 15' (or: army-related, engineer-battalion, numbered: '15'). The - fairly high-ranked! - pair was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the typical black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be hard to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards - which measure approximately 10,3 cms. in length each - show two, fully matching pairs of the neat (golden-toned, I deem older-styled, 'Buntmetall'-based- and/or regular-sized) so-called: '1'- and/or '5'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') peirod-attached, denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Major des Pionier Batallions 15'. The straps never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended for (and used as) a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern: they still show some thread- ie. stitching-remains (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps do only show some moderate age and/or wear and are truly void of any damage or alike (one of the boards shows a fortified, woolen-based 'backing' attached, possibly in order to overcome wear when the cross-strap was worn). This pair originated from a small lot of 'cyphered' shoulderstraps and boards that I recently acquired for the web-site: it should, moreover, be noted that all 'cyphered' boards are quite hard to find. Simply a great occasion to acquire an attractive, officers'-type, Heeres shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for a: 'Major des Pionier Batallions 15'!
