The neat - albeit clearly used- and/or worn - WH (Heeres) 'standard-pattern', aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffizier u. Mannschaften des Heeres') shows just the remains of the (typical) field-grey- (ie. olive-green-) coloured sprayed surface and shows an oval-shaped stamp on the leather-based tab (as can be seen on the pictures). The stamp shows regular wear and usage but still shows the stamped producing-company (ie. 'C.T. Dicke - Lüdenscheid') and the year of production ie. '1939' on its tab (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle - which itself shows the superimposed makers'-designation 'C.T.D.' - came mounted onto its still souple - and of course still functional - brownish-coloured and genuine leather-based 'tab' (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle has, as stated above, lost most (ie. almost all) of its period-applied field-grey-coloured paint (as more often) and shows some obvious age, extensive wear and/or staining ie. dirt (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle orginates from an older belt-buckle-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this truly used and worn WH (Heeres) belt-buckle accordingly!
