Very unusual - neatly maker- ie. '100'-marked! - 'Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939' being a nicely preserved and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based specimen that came mounted onto its (orange-red-coloured- and truly long-sized!) ribbon (ie. This is an attractive - and very usually maker-marked! - example of a: 'Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939' (or: War Merits'-medal 1939) being a 'Buntmetall'-based specimen that shows the makers'-designation '100' stamped into its ring and that came mounted onto its (truly orange-red-coloured, truly long-sized- and/or minimally confectioned) ribbon and that comes as issued and recently found. The award was presumably issued but hardly (ie. never) worn nor used: it has an attractive, somewhat darker-toned, golden-bronze-coloured age-patina and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The piece is just a bit tarnished and stained but was never cleaned (as can be seen on the pictures). As stated above is this a very unsually seen maker-marked example that shows the makers'-designation '100' stamped into its ring: as such it can be attributed to the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Rudolf Wächtler & Lange' as based in the town of Mittwaida in S. Simply a neat - and truly unusually seen! - maker-marked example of a: 'Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939' (or: War-Merits'-medal 1939) that will be very hard to be upgraded!
