This is a very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - multi-coloured, machine-embroidered- (ie. 'variant-type'-) armshield as was specifically intended for usage by a Russian volunteer servind within the 'Russian Liberation Army' (or 'POA') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'!), condition. The shield on offer here is executed on the slightly 'course-like'-woven linnen and is in fact much harder to encounter than its counterparts as woven in the 'BeVo'-weave pattern. The shield comes in a truly stonemint, unissued condition and is just a bit 'wrinkled' and/or stained, simply caused by years of storage only (nothing shocking though). The piece has (I deem) been period-trimmed into a shield-shaped format but will nevertheless be impossible to upgrade: only the fourth such scarcely encountered, variant-type 'ROA'-armshield I ever had on offer!
