This is a neat - and never before (by me) encountered nor seen! - WH (Heeres) 'Feldkommandantur'- (ie. staff- ie. Panzer-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') being a zinc-based specimen that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Feldkdtr 509' (and as such being a disc that was intended for a soldier who served within a specific army-staff-unit named: 'Feldkommandantur 509') and that comes as issued and/or worn. The disc - which is executed in a clear and fine letter-type - is void of the soldiers' blood-group-type and is still a tiny bit dirty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. It comes as worn and/or stored for decades and originates from a private household somewhere in Germany. Of additional interest is, moreover, that later in the war (1944/45) the: 'Feldkommandantur 509' was assigned to the: 4th ie. 5th 'Panzerarmee'. Simply an attractive and honest 'Feldkommandantur'-related ID-disc that is accordingly priced!
