I recently uncovered a small hoard comprising of various 'Band- o. Feldspangen' that all originated from a larger hoard (ie. 'Herstellerbestand') holding various, virtually 'mint- ie. unissued' pieces that were never worn and were simply 'left-over' after the war. The pieces on offer here are attractive, 2-pieced-, WWII-period, WH (Heeres. Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine etc.) medal-bars (ie. 'Band- o. Feldspangen') that respectively depict the ribbons for repectively an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second-class) and a: 'Kriegsverdienst Kreuz II. Klasse mit Schwerter' (or: war-merits cross 2nd. class with swords) still having their golden-coloured swords-devices attached. Both ribbons are of the regular (ie. smaller-), ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1,5 cms. each as is more often encountered (the pieces have a total length of approximately 3 cms.). All 'Spangen' are neatly 'backed' with field-grey-coloured (as can be seen on the pictures). The attached devices show some minimal age ie. tarnish but have on all pieces been nicely preserved. The (identical) pieces show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging simply caused by decades of storage only: they came still 'packed' in their period storage-enveloppe that shows the inked text: '50 Schnallen - 302 EK./K.v.Kreuz X1' (or alike). The asking-price is naturally intended per single piece. Simply a great occasion to acquire an attractive 2-pieced 'Band- o. Feldspange': great to decorate or to 'promote' almost any tunic!
