Police (ie. 'Polizei'/'Gendarmerie'-related-) armbadge (ie. arm-eagle) - being a scarcely encountered! - summer-tunic version that was intended for a member within the: 'Polizei Recklinghausen'

The attractive - and fairly large-sized arm-badge, sized: 9 x 8,5 cms. - is executed on the typical summer-type 'Polizei'-type cloth (aka 'grünmellierte Stoff') and comes in a moderately used- ie. IMO carefully tunic-removed-, condition. The piece - that shows some minimal staining - retains great detail: the used machine-embroidery is simply stunning (as can be seen on the pictures). These unusal arm-eagles can also be encountered without having an embroidered town-name above the eagle: this is a 'named' version showing the specific town embroidery 'Recklinghausen'. It should be noted that these neat 'grünmellierter Polizei Ärmeladler' can easily be graded 'scarce'.
