Attractive, silver-greyish-toned- (ie. 'zinc'-based) so-called: WH sports-related commemorative-plaque entitled: 'Siegerpreis 1941 - Dresden Vereinsregatta' and that comes stored in its period etui

This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often encountered! - silver-greyish-toned- (ie. zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based) so-called: WH sports-related-, commemorative-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille') entitled: 'Siegerpreis 1941 - Dresden Vereinsregatta' (or: table-medal that was awarded for outstanding achievement in a rowing- ie. canoe-contest held in the town of Dresden in 1941) that comes stored in its period-, semi-leather-based etui (ie. 'Verleihungsetui') as issued and/or stored for decades. The neat - larger-sized- and regular-weight-piece that shows an association-flag and oakleaves on its front and a scene from the town of Dresden (showing a man in a canoe) on its back - has an approximate diameter of 6 cms. and has pronounced detail as to be expected. It was IMO never cleaned nor polished and has maintained a neat (somewhat matted- ie. frosted-) silver-grey-toned age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The bordeaux-red-coloured etui - that measures 8,5 x 8,5 cms. - comes in an equally nicely preserved condition and shows a beige-white-coloured- (and velvet-based!) inner-section that shows a maker-logo (two golden-toned, crossed swords ie. 'Meissen' (?) on its top (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece originates from a private household in Germany where it was recently uncovered as issued and stored for decades (see pictures). Simply a very attractive and with certainty unusually encountered, Wehrmacht-related-, sports-table-medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille' that is IMO accordingly priced!
