Attractive -matching and scarcely encountered! - pair of WH (Luftwaffe) NCO-type shoulderboards as was intended for a medium-ranked, administrative-official (ie. NCO) having the rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel' (ie.: 'Beambter des mittleren Dienstes')

The attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - LW-related shoulderboard-pair - which was intended for usage by a medium-ranked NCO having the comparable rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel' (or: sergeant first-class) - is constructed from the specific, greenish-coloured- and/or: smooth-like- (ie. moleskin-type-) wool and does have the (typical-) bluish-grey- and/or: silver-coloured (twisted) upperdecks as per regulation (see pictures). The boards - which can easily be graded virtually mint- ie. unissued! - have four (identical- and or zinc-based-) pips period attached denoting the NCOs rank of: 'Beambter des mittleren Dienstes im Oberfeldwebels-rang'. The boards also show the bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured 'Zwischenfarbe' (or: secondary branchcolour) attached, denoting the soldiers- ie. NCOs specific function- and/or tasking. The boards came mounted on their functional (small-sized-) tongues attached and were simply never worn and came still tied together (see pictures). The shoulderboard-pair originated from the left-overs of a stock of an old tailor-shop in Germany and was never before in a collection: the boards were simply never worn nor used (they do show some truly minimal age and/or staining caused by decades of storage only, as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these Luftwaffe-related-, NCO-type shoulderboards as were intended for medium-ranked administrative-officials ie. 'Beambter des mittleren Dienstes im Oberfeldwebelsrang' can easily be graded: 'fairly scarce'. Only the first such neat pair having the bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured secondary branchcolour I did ever had on offer!
