This is truly attractive - and actually rarely encountered and/or almost matching! - pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-war-) period-, so-called: 'M36'-pattern- (ie. pointed-styled) 'cyphered' and/or non-piped shoulderstraps, as was intended for a: 'Soldat des Artillerie-Beobachtungs-Abteilungs 20' (or simple soldier who served within the artillery-observers regiment ie. unit, numbered '20'), in overall very nice- (albeit IMO minimally used ie. worn-) condition. The straps - which are both approximately 12 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type' and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upper-decks' and have (of course) no piping (as per regulation). Both shoulderstraps show the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'-) Gothic-styled-, so-called: 'B'-cyphers and/or: '20' numerals. Both 'cyphers' are executed in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (see pictures). The straps - which come mounted on their functional tongues show as stated truly minimal usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is however visible and/or present). The pair was with certainly always together and was worn as such as a pair (this although the fact that both pieces are not completely matching). It should, however, be noted that all 'cyphered' so-called: 'Beobachtungs-Abteilungen'-shoulderstraps are very desirable and can easily be regarded 'rare', even more when they are in such a nicely preserved condition. In any case a very attractive (and truly rarely encountered!) early- ie. pre-war-period, 'cyphered Heeres' shoulderstrap-pair which is IMO priced according to its obvious desirability and/or unmistaken rarity!
