This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - IMO mid-war period, so-called: 'M43'-pattern-, WH (Heeres), NCO-type shoulderboard, as was piped in the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) branchcolour, as was intended for - and worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied der Artillerie-Schießschule Thorn' (or artillery-sergeant and member - IMO a trainer - who served within the artillery-shooting school based in the town of Thorn), in overall very nice, albeit moderately used ie. worn-, condition. The strap - which has the 'standard-type'- and/or: field-grey-coloured-, woolen-based 'upperdeck' - has the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured- and/or: 'silk-like'-type piping attached and measures approximately 11,5 cms. in length. The board shows the silverish-coloured- (ie. 'standard-type'-) NCO-braid attached and shows one ('Buntmetall'-based-) pip attached denoting the soldiers'-rank of: 'Feldwebel' (ie. sergeant). Moreover, has the strap a neat (and rarely seen!) Gothic-styled- and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based (and regular-sized-) so-called: 'S'-cypher attached, denoting the NCOs function at the: 'Artillerie-Schießschule'. Of interest is furthermore the fact that the board was constructed by using a standard-type 'Unteroffiziers'-type board: the piece of horizontally-mounted NCO-braid (being of the more early-period-type) is loosely added as a: 'Lasche' (see photos). The board comes mounted on its original tongue and is in a very nice, ie. fully 'text-book' condition overall. It shows as stated above only minimal usage (some minimal age, dust and/or staining is present and/or visible) and I deem that the board has been crudely tunic-removed (causing a tear in the button-hole of the tongue). This particular example originated from a large cloth-/shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired. In any case an attractive and/or mid- (ie. later-) war-period- and/or: 'Heeres'-related enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap that was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied der Artillerie-Schießschule Thorn'!
