Very nice - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard, as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant eines Veterinär-Abteilungs'

This is a truly very attractive - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as executed in the desirable, darker-pink- (ie. 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour, as was intended for - and worn by! - an: 'Oberleutnant eines Veterinär-Abteilungs' (or lieutnant first-class who served within a veterinarian-unit), in overall very nice- (albeit IMO moderately used ie. tunic-removed-) condition. The board - which is executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or darker-pink-coloured wool (aka 'moleskin') - measures approximately 11,3 cms. in length and has a fairly shiny- ie. silver-grey-coloured 'upperdeck'. The board never had a tongue attached and was without doubt intended for usage as a board of the 'sew-in-type' and was clearly used as such. The board shows a neatly golden-toned so-called: 'snake'-cypher and/or equally golden-toned pip period-attached: both devices are only minimally tarnished and/or stained but are still very nice and/or pronounced. The strap shows some minimal glue- ie. carton-remains on its back, caused by having been glued into an album once. This particular example originated from a large cloth-/shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired. Simply a very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard as executed in one of the most difficult to encounter branchcolours of the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht': too bad it is only a single piece!
